When looking for a family friendly vacation rental in Denver, Velma’s Too offers simple elegance at reasonable prices. From the moment of arrival at this Denver vacation rental, you will feel the warm welcome of home and appreciate the thoughtful anticipation of your needs. Located in Central Denver, Velma’s Too is fully remodeled and thoroughly upgraded with all the modern conveniences in a truly efficient and effective use of space.

This charming 1928 bungalow has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can sleep 9 in beds.On the main floor there are 2 cozy bedrooms: one with a queen size bed and the other with a full size, antique brass bed. On the lower level, one bedroom has a full size bed and the other has an antique 3/4 brass bed (larger than a twin, but smaller than a full, best for one adult). The common area in the basement has a trundle bed (a twin stored underneath a twin). While the bed frames may be antiques, the mattresses are new. All linens are provided. On cold winter nights, enjoy the luxury of climbing into a warm bed…in the winter, all beds except the twins have electric blankets.

For your convenience, there is a full bathroom (standard tub with shower) on both levels. The lower level tub is jetted.
The small, modern kitchen is very complete and ready for the gourmet cook to create a lavish meal. Perhaps “take-out” is more to your liking, call one of the nearby neighborhood restaurants and have your meal delivered.

Kids of all ages will love the Foosball table on the 3-season sun porch. the fenced backyard, with terraced brick patios, relaxing atmosphere, abundant flowers, is perfect for relaxing with friend and family or a back yard BBQ. Because this garden evolved over the 20 years I lived her raising my children, it contains many culinary delights (fresh herbs, raspberries, an apple and a peach tree, etc.) which you are welcome to enjoy if they are in season.

Great location, comfortable for 9 of us, all the amenities we would need during our stay were provided, and a beautiful garden which one could view from the screened in porch. The owner was pleasant and easy to work with in arranging the stay. Very enjoyable.

Our family stayed at this...

Our family stayed at this cute little house the week of Aug 1-10, 2009 for our son's wedding in Denver. There were 6 of us including our 2 young grandsons, 5 yrs and 5 months. Linda the owner couldn't have been more accommodating, from a pack & play, high chair, even special toys for the 5 yr old. We had everything we could possibly need. The house was so neat and clean, plenty of towels and linens. We enjoyed spending time in the back screened in porch and also the large front porch. The location was perfect for a family. Our other family members and friends also rented houses from Linda, which they also loved. We have rented many rentals by owners in NC where our chidren live, but none have been as accommodating. Linda was a great host, always making sure everything was fine. If our travels ever bring us back to Denver, we will defintely stay at one of her 3 houses. Thank you Linda for a great week we had in Denver. The Halpin Family.

Velma's Too was just perf...

Velma's Too was just perfect for a two-family meet-up in Denver - more than comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children (ages 2-8), great location (we walked to the zoo!) in a nice neighborhood; everything we could have needed in accommodations and very comfortable. The screened porch and patio'd yard were such a nice bonus for us. Linda is very thoughtful and wants her guests to enjoy their stay at her guest house and in her city. Loved it.

perfect location for our Denver stay

We were in Denver to attend a wedding and we were able to get to all the activities quite easily from our rental. The house worked well for our family. We enjoyed being able to walk to cafes and coffee places in the neighborhood. We were sorry that we weren't in Denver in summer. The back garden/patio would be very attractive then and a great place to hang out.

Awesome Stay

Being my first trip to Denver, this was a great place to stay. Totally stocked. All you had to do was go in and make yourself at home. It was a pleasure to meet Linda and know she was around to help you out if necessary. On future trips, we will definitely be staying in one of Linda's homes.

Charming Bungalow- listing matches pictures & desc exactly

We chose this home because of its close proximity to my sister's house and it turned out to be the perfect home base for us for 10 days. We've used VRBO many times in the past and I was thrilled that this home was comfortably stocked with amenities that alleviated our need to run out to the store and purchase household items. We appreciated the shampoo, body soap, conditioner, q-tips and even makeup remover pads in the bathrooms! The house was very clean when we arrived and Linda provided very clear check-in and check-out directions. We will definitely book a stay here in the future, hopefully in the warm months, so that we can enjoy the beautifully landscaped backyard with plenty of seating, as well as the 3 season porch. The piano in the living room was a nice surprise too.

Linda was so pleasant to work with- you can tell she loves her rental homes (she has 3) and she takes care to make sure her customers are taken care of. The neighborhood is cute- there is a coffee shop and a few restaurants within walking distance only 2 blocks away.

Excellent Value, Lovely Home with Many Amenities

We stayed for the week of Christmas this year (2012) and found it the perfect location and property. Very close and convenient to everything: shopping, Denver museums, downtown, etc. Great neighborhood. The owner provides just about everything you can think of to make your stay enjoyable. Wish it could have been in spring or summer to enjoy the lovely garden and sun porch. We had a memorable family holiday thanks in large part to our stay here! Hope to return as often as we are able to be in Denver to visit our daughter.

Family celebration

We booked the guest house as a base to celebrate a college graduation - I worked out perfectly - we had enough space for all travelers and with the backyard we were able to host a small cookout gathering for family and friends. The house is as advertised and the neighborhood is very welcoming - we will recommend it to family and friends

Cute Bungalow in Denver

We had a wonderful family stay in this house. Our family was in Denver for a wedding and came from around the world. The house provided us with a great space to meet, have fun, enjoy good food and wine. I found Linda to be very helpful before we arrived quickly answering my emails and questions.

Good Time in Denver

My family had a very good time at this house. The house was the right size for 5 adults. The owner treated you like family. The location was very good for either walking, driving or else taking public transportation. Will definitely consider staying there when we return to Denver.
